Ware Choral Society, Singing since 1902

We have been singing in Ware for over a hundred years, since 1902 to be exact. Despite our long history we constantly look to the future, and this is propelled by our Music Director, Rosie Howarth. Rosie is a professional conductor, vocal coach, and an accomplished and experience Soprano- she knows what its like to try and hit the high notes!

No audition is necessary, just a love of music.  The ability to read music is helpful.

Currently there are over one hundred singers in the choir split between Bass, Tenor, Alto and Soprano.

Community is very much at the heart of what we do. We are proud to raise money for the Isabel Hospice from our concerts. We have offered ‘come and sing’ days for the community and hope to expand this.

Our concerts are spread through-out the year at Christmas, Spring and in the Summer.  They are usually at the Drill Hall in Ware or at Christ Church, Ware and we are committed to offering accessible music to our community, in our community.

Recently we have delighted with Donizetti, venerated Verdi and been munificent with Mozart and are passionate about having an extensive and enjoyable repertoire. Please browse our Repetoire page to see what else we have been up to.

We are thrilled to work with professional soloists and orchestras and are blessed with our resident accompanist- Barbara Manning.
